Game level Screen shots
This is a brocken down segment of the city which will be part of the out door part of the game where you can go and explore. As you can see there are some lights ( Genartors) which have been put there to help you see under water.( the purple lights
Character in more detail
Main Character: is a Ex Marine he is tall, looks strong, wears his sunglasses & the Army cogtag. His main mission is to save the people which live down there ( be a hero)He will have to use everything what he's got ( learnt) to survive) from underwater deep blue missions and tight pipe line conditions.
The Enemy (Boss) is big build badass belongs to some group ( Mafia kind) He finds the Underwater world a good money source and wants it for himself. So him and his people are going to do just that. The Boss is a big Talker but does no action, like in a lot of games
Hostiles are normal looking civilians some rich and poor, because it is a normal city there will be all sorts of people.

I did my own layout for my game which is like a little bit GTA4 to Gears of War
I thought some of the buttons where good there and some there. What I found out is that every game has a different controller layout so my controller has its own layout.But I chooce this one because I thought it would best suit my Game.

Options
My options will be a subtitled feature which they can turn on and off, it is good for the hard hearing ( hearing disabilities) and I will also have subtitles for the non english people in there own language like Europe( German,Italien, French), Asia(Chinese,Korean,Japanese).
I also will have a colour feature which will have brightness

Game HUD
Will be a underwater Mask ( Helmet) which only works when your are outside but when inside it goes off to get that Underwater city feel. Why did I chooce this kind of HUD because the user gets a better feel when he is in the game.
When you get hit by a bullet or hurt, there will be a red splash effect, like in Gears of war & Call of duty

The Idea
The idea came to me when I got bored playing the normal FPS games. Then I thought an underwater game would be quite interesting, so I did some research. I then looked at how many underwater games are present and I found a few ,Aquaman: Battle for Atlantis,Endless Ocean, Critical Depth, Treasures of the Deep, the most recent once are Bioshock 1 & 2. These games all gave me ideas and helped me with my underwater game. Then I thought where could it be set, what ocean, of course the deepest is the Pacific Ocean but I thought something small where there are still pirates to date then I choose some where in South America ( Brazil,Agentina Chile those countries ).Panama channel
The Setting
The setting will be in an Underwater city, games like Bioshock.
The Goal
The Main Goal in this game is to rescue the city and the people from the Mafia Group
you must think what could be the Risk Reward in an underwater city game, well, the risk could be to swim across the ocean to help a friend and the reward could be some blueprints.

The Open world ( Level)
Will be underwater. But it will be more like an underwater city. Where your player will have to go through pipes to get from one building to the other. There will also be an outside area of the level where you can explore the wide ocean ( coral reef ).
Missions
The Levels in this game would be
1. Story missions which will be continuing the story
example save these people from the Mafia.
2. Side missions which would help you get equipment or money which should help in the story missions.

Would be the Mafia group ( they have no real name at the moment )

The Beginning
The Games will be set in South America. Deep under water where your oxygen will be your best friend. The Game will be a sandbox-style action-adventure video game where you start of on a boat towards your hoilday destination which is underwater where the view are wounderfull. Jhones is the main character. Jhones was a elite Marine ( one of the best they would say) but now he is retired and just once some piece and quiete, But thats not going to happen.

Ch 1 – History & Background

1. In the 1980 I would have developed a platform game like Donkey Kong or Mario Bros.
2. The 1980 Final Fantasy was 2D which is different to now.
The 1990 Final Fantasy was in 3D but the enviroment had no difference to the 1980 except from the 3D prospective even the mission ( Objectives ) where the same
The 2004 Final Fantasy was in the so called (sixth generation of consoles) except for the look ( graphics)the game enviorment is still the same as it was back in the 1980.
3.Halo Reach( FPS ) The goals are to kill or save someone or something ( house,car .ect.). The setting is usually in a ( war zone, jungle, snow, past, future , present,but now days it is more in the desert,with Halo it is on a planet called Reach.)puzzles in a FPS could be how do I get past the group in front, do I go straight in or on the roof tops. In a FPS the risk-reward system could be you get a new weapon or you get points to upgrade your weapons.
Need for speed ( Racing games) The setting on a race game is usually is the track ( race course ) but now days it is more about free riding in a big world ( city), the race course could be anywhere from snow mountain tops to in the city but the foucs is the race track. The goal would be to finish First. My puzzles in a racing game would be how fast should I go around this corner or when should I break, risk-reward system here would be to get a better car or get money to upgrade your car.
Sim city (Simulation) the goals in these sort of game could vary but in sim city you have to try to build your own city from the houses to the prison yard. the bigger the city the more stuff you get as a reward. puzzles in this game could be the weather or just some angry people complain about the roads.
